British shipping forwarder company established a container shipping company

After Uniserve, the largest private shipping forwarder company in the UK, and RifLine, an Italian forwarder company, successively established container shipping companies, there is a new case for shipping forwarder companies to directly enter the container shipping market.

Allseas Global Logistics, a British shipping forwarder company, once opened a direct flight service "China Xpress" from China to the United Kingdom when the supply chain was tight. After 18 months of operation on the route, Allseas Global Logistics recently announced the formation of the joint venture Allseas Shipping Company (ASC) with 1st Containers, a container service provider under the parent company Allseas Global Group.

It is understood that ASC will specialize in direct shipping services from China to the UK/Europe, and Bangladesh to the UK/Europe, which can greatly shorten the transit time from the origin to the destination.

Darren Wright, founder and managing director of Allseas Global Group, said: "Previously, we launched the 'China Express Line', which is just a route, not a shipping company. In the future, we will no longer only provide transportation services to China, but To develop the Bangladesh route, and the trans-Pacific route from China and Vietnam to the U.S. West Coast, we need to form a new company.”

It is understood that the "China Express Line" opened by Allseas Global Logistics is the first direct flight service from China to Liverpool, UK, starting from Ningbo, passing through Dongguan, Chittagong, Liverpool, and finally arriving in Rotterdam. Most of the container ships deployed on this route are regional container ships, and the port of call avoids busy hub ports, which can significantly reduce the problem of unstable shipping schedules caused by port delays.

ASC said that "China Express" and the newly launched Bangladesh route "Asia Xpress" will become the main business of ASC.

In addition, it will continue to expand its route services, including calling at ports such as Genoa and Valencia, opening trans-Pacific routes from China to the United States and Canada, and increasing route services in Vietnam, Cambodia and East India.

Allseas Global Logistics recently announced a series of charter agreements, including the first vessel to be operated by ASC, the Allseas Pioneer.

ASC's official website announced some ships in the company's operating fleet, including the 1874TEU "Allseas Pioneer" (built in 2003), the 1740TEU "Allseas Innovation" (built in 2005), and the 1730TEU "AMO" (1997). built), the 1819TEU "San Alfonso" wheel (built 2007) and the 1735TEU "Seren" wheel (built 2011).

Darren Wright said that ASC has invested US$150 million to lease six container ships to form its own-brand fleet. In the future, ASC also plans to order more ships, and consider purchasing feeder ships with a capacity of less than 2,500TEU, avoiding busy hub ports, so as to provide customers with reliable shipping schedules.
